Faithful Friday – Friday 11 September 2020

Here is the Faithful Friday word for you today!

Faithful Friday is an initiative from our clergy to further explore the Word of God and to reconnect people with Bible verses

Please feel free to reflect on what each passage means to you and let us know if any of the passages inspire you.

Blog post by David Hildred:

We read near the end of King David’s life, and we are still very aware that he is a mix of characteristics some of which we easily see are Godly and others are far from it. Could it ever be said of us that we are “like the light of sunrise on a cloudless morning”? Yet that is what God says of David, and his grace can be at work in us just the same. And how likely are we to say, “I will not bring offerings that cost me nothing”? But surely that is simply the reaction of David to the grace of God he sees at work in his life. Let’s pray that this grace may be seen to be at work in us.
