Alternative Bereavement Service 2020

In 2020 we will be running an Alternative Bereavement Service. Previously, we have run a Memorial Service designed for those whom we have led funeral services in the recent past. Unfortunately, we need to do things differently this year; we hope you will be able to join in with what we have planned.

We would like to invite you to share the name of someone who has sadly died this year, by writing it on a label. There will be a designated place to put your label which we are calling ‘The Forget-me-not Place…remembering our loved ones’.

There will be a Forget-me-not Place outside each of the five churches in the Parish of Kidderminster East where you will be able to tie the labels. You can leave your label there on any day during the week leading up to Remembrance Sunday.

Click the download button for a label you may want to use:

Alternatively, you are welcome to phone or email the office with the name you would like included in the service.

Then, at 7:00pm, Monday 2nd November to Friday 6th November, you are invited to join us for a short on-line act of remembrance, via a live-streamed on our Facebook page.

Your loved one’s name will be included during the service for that day.

UPDATE 9TH NOVEMBER 2020

Thank you to all those who were involved in making the Memorial Services happen last week in our different churches.

Many people made use of these opportunities to remember loved ones as each evening we read out around 20-30 names.

There are recordings available to view again on the Parish Facebook or Youtube pages.

Finally, we had just one technical problem, on the Friday; but the missing part of the service was recorded once we had better broadband signal. We continue to pray that those who access the services will find God’s peace and comfort in their grief.
