Luke 12:41-48
Jesus tells a story about a servant left in charge while the master is away. The faithful servant keeps doing his job—caring for others and doing what’s right—even when the master is gone a long time. But if the servant thinks, “My master won’t return soon,” he starts to be lazy and hurt others. Jesus warns us not to live that way. He says, “To those who have been given much, much will be expected.” As followers of Christ, we’ve been given God’s love, His Word, and each other. That’s a gift and a responsibility. This week, think about where God has placed you. How can you serve well at home, at work, and in the church? Let’s live ready, so when Jesus returns, He finds us faithful.
