Psalm 117

There is an inevitability that there will be more words in this “Faithful Friday” than in the psalm we are reading today! There is a danger that what I say will get in the way of this wonderful psalm: so let me be brief. To whom is the psalm addressed? What does that tell us about the scope of God’s authority? What is it that the ‘addressees’ are encouraged to do? What does that tell us about the scope of God’s being? What’s the reason for why that exhortation is appropriate? What does that tell us about the scope of God’s character?
