John 21: 15-19
Jesus reinstates Peter. Before Jesus was crucified Peter denied him 3 times – after the resurrection Jesus blesses Peter and the disciples in their misery and grief with a miraculous catch of fish and feeds them on the beach with a fabulous breakfast. He then reinstates Peter by asking 3 questions – key to the questions and Peter’s answers is Peter’s love for Jesus. Despite serious mistakes in our own lives we can all be made right with Jesus and be free to love him, even as he eternally loves us.
