Acts 28
In this week’s readings Paul has been able to give his testimony before King Agrippa (one of the Herod family of Jewish kings) who realises Paul has not done anything criminally wrong, but his journey continues towards Rome. This time it’s a physically dangerous journey, yet Paul is reassured (27:23) that everything still fits with God’s plan. In those extreme conditions he is able to save lives, bring hope and healing, and even through the period of house-arrest in Rome (28:16) he is able to share more of Jesus. Our circumstances are of course very different, but is the need for people to hear about Jesus any less? Shall we pray that the Holy Spirit be at work in us and through us to the same goal?
