1 Corinthians 15: 35 – 50
This passage provides assurance to Christian believers by affirming the promise of resurrection and transformation. Paul’s analogy of seeds and bodies underscores that death is not the end, but rather the beginning of a new, imperishable existence. The assurance comes from the belief that, through faith in Christ, what is fragile and mortal in this life will be raised in glory and power. Christians are encouraged that they will ultimately share in the divine nature, bearing the image of Christ—the “man of heaven”—rather than simply that of Adam, “the man of dust”. This hope offers comfort at funerals and to those facing mortality, assuring them that life continues beyond death and that God has prepared a glorious future for those who love him.
