Esther 2
It is true that God is not explicitly mentioned in the book of Esther, but his guiding hand is there through each chapter as the People of God come under threat. One of the key verses is 4:14 “Who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?” – God’s plan is worked out despite the scheming of others. In these early chapters we see how Esther, a Jew by birth, ends up being the queen of a non-Jewish nation ‘at just the right time’. With hindsight we may be able to detect God’s hand at work in our lives, even though he has not been explicitly acknowledged. Shall we pray daily to be in the Lord’s placement, at the Lord’s timing, to achieve the Lord’s plan?
