One king who believes he holds supreme power and glory is humbled by our God who shares his glory with no-one. Another king thinks he can take what is God’s and use it to fulfil his own desires and worship his own gods has not learned from the example of those before him. And a third king who believes that his laws and commands are unchangeable even by God has to acknowledge it is the other way round. All of this prepares the way for the vision that says a King is coming, one like a son of man, who kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. Praise God as we head for the season of Advent!
