Ezekiel 44
Last week’s promise of hearts of stone being turned into hearts of flesh is further depicted in the People of God who are brought back to life from being a pile of dry bones, united under God’s godly King, being centred around the Temple with the return of God’s glory, and the restoration of priests who will lead God’s people in acceptable worship. Good news for the people in Ezekiel’s day, but even better news for those who see Jesus fulfilling God’s intention by being the King, the Temple, the High Priest who offers us a heart transplant when we turn to him and submit to him.
