Luke 24
There are so many sparkling facets we could focus on in these final two chapters, but here’s one you might like to ponder on. In 24:3 Luke writes “they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus”. Before this point there are a number of times when “Jesus” and “Lord” might appear in the same verse, but this is the first time that Luke refers to him as “the Lord Jesus”. When he writes his second volume (the Book of Acts) he often uses the phrase. Do you hear anything significant in why Luke makes this change at 24:3? What depths are we tapping into when we refer to “the Lord Jesus”?
