2 Samuel 23
David’s final words remind us that his greatness was not self-made. He was the son of Jesse, yet God lifted him, anointed him, and gave him a voice for his people. David trusted the Lord as the Rock of Israel, even through failure, danger, and uncertainty. For us, this is encouragement: God sees ordinary lives and can exalt them for his purpose. We do not need to strive for status or security in our own strength. Like David, we are invited to trust God’s covenant faithfulness, to walk humbly before him, and to believe that he can use our lives to bring light, hope, and blessing to others.
